Why are BBC comedies so funny? I just started watching Mile High a simple show about a British Airline and the antics of the crew. Its a simple formula of hot stewardesses and cool stewards hanging in cool European locations hooking up with each other and passengers. They are always in Alicante or Valencia or Malaga. Its like three's company on crack. Innuendo, sex talk, and Jack and Larry looking to hook up. Watch it and tell me what you think.
Of course the best BBC show is Coupling. But since Jeff left it hasn't been the same.
Anxiety v excitement at Harris and Trump HQs

The BBC's Sarah Smith and Gary O'Donoghue reflect on the contrasting moods
at the Harris event in Washington, DC, and the Trump event in Florida.

Are BBC comedies funny? I think the Office was not. It tried to be but so dry. The question should be why do americans seem to find them funny. After all, they are british.
I guess im just an anglophile
I think they're hilarious. The office was perfect. I think it's because the environment was stale but Ricky Gervais and a few others were so colorful it made it ridiculous. It was a believable environment and the fact you can connect with them on a realistic level made it that much more uncomfortable. And when your uncomfortable to a point of someone's antics it starts to turn surreal. Then the over all picture is just hilarious. At least to me anyways. Who knows. When Ricky was doing his Michael Jackson dance then spun around to his Boss made me laugh out loud. Who knows. I just started Couplings. It's pretty good.
One more thing that's funny is the English are presented as these very starightfoward uptight people. Then you see them acting french and talking about a secret flying sheep. LIke in a "Flying Circus" episode. It's just plane goofy. I think it's just more Goofy then Dry. Ah those goofy English.
Man I should of posted on my blog. =)
DSL is on it's way any moment know.
