Who woiuld have thunk it...damn good cajun in Bethesda. On tap for the review, garlic shrimp tomato sauce version not garlicky worchester version and jambalya. This place is in a weird zone in Bethesda...away from the main shopping area..a like to refer to it as a hidden gem.
First what sucked about the place. The lemonade was from a powder and it seems like they added sugar on top of it. The biscuits were dry. I mean desert. Why cant you make flaky buttery biscuits with butter and tupelo honey. That would be good...anyway....garlic shrimp rocked the house, a litle pricey bit you get like 15 big shrimp with a spicy garlic tomato sauce over rice. The rice was buttery and so good. Ww also had jamabalya with everything. This simple dish was done well, well its wasnt frou frou it was solid,
The desert sucked, how do you screw up chocloate mousse cake, well they did. it was like they kept it under a heat lamp.
Overall go and try this place stick to the New Orleans classics. Great value but you'll never find parking.
