Best Chrsitmas Present

Growing up I really loved playing with army men. i would tie them to fire crackers, melt them with WD40, restage OperationOverlord Landings, scale the guns of the Navarrone etc. i was obsessed. One of the greatest war movies is the Longest Day. Every big actor of the day was init. One of the scense was Operation Pegasus. A mission for British Commandos to take a Bridge just west of the landings. Taking the bridge would ensure Allie Armor continued access in land.

So from that moment forward I had to have British Commandos, I read all these dumb books about them. I dont know how my dad did it. One christmas he bought me these british commandos. Little army men that were painted, man oh man was I in heaven. I could now conduct operation pegasus, and defeat the germans.
