We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance.
- Harrison Ford
Change does not change tradition. It strengthens it. Change is a challenge and an opportunity; not a threat.

I've been asked to step aside in favor of a more aggressive LD. Shocked I find myself trying to sort out my life. Is change good or bad? Should I stay or should i go. If I stay what happens. if i leave do i really want to lobby or worse yet work for another MoC.
My ego is crushed and i am scared to tell my work friends of my "restructured position." I'm so embarassed.

Remember this and this?
We'ren't you getting tired of that job anyway? Don't be emberassed by it. You worked long and hard for them. Don't make any rash decisions. Take your time reassessing the situation. Might as well. Maybe you'll like the new position, but if it eats at you working in the same place then clearly you need to look for something else. It's a fresh start. It's a new angle. Now you have an open window of opportunities. You can meet new people. You can take on a whole new life.
I agree! I ask the Little loverboy all the time about how he'll learn how to get up, if he doesn't fall? Don't be embarressed- it happens to all of us at one point or another, but you were the brave one who accepted it and blogged about it!! The way I see it, you're already out the door, and you're already getting up.
Sometimes when the water's are still it makes us content with it's placidity. But, that can change in a heartbeat. When the storms roll in, the ocean gets whipped up. The surf crests higher and higher and it rolls with ever increasing force. It was fun to float in calm waters, but you want to paddle out into the unkown and conquer it. That job was your boogie board. Go find a long board and ride it to your heart's content.
Where one door closes... (I'll spare you the cheesiness.)
You like Bethesda, right? Check out the description below of an open position at my work. Just think: Jaleo, Ruth's Chris, Black's, Mortons, Mon Ami Gabi, Matuba, Persimmon... The 2-hr lunch possibilites are endless.
