It has been a successful launch week for Gordon Ramsay at The London since the restaurant opened its doors on November 16th with the great and the good of New York attending a party to mark the opening, including leading New York chefs Daniel Boulud, Jean Georges Vongerichten and Mario Batali.
In a hectic week of preparations Gordon took the time to appear on popular US show, ‘The Martha Stewart Show’ which aired on Wednesday.
Crucially, the first and very positive review of Gordon’s New York restaurant ran in The New York Post on Wednesday. In the review, its author Steve Cuozzo praise the ‘two civilised chambers in jewel-box green with deco flourishes’ and states that ‘to anyone with a palate, rooting for Ramsay to flop is the dumbest thing imaginable’.
Gordon Ramsay at The London has also received four stars, the highest rating obtainable in the New York Observer. Respected critic Moira Hodgson praises the restaurant for its ‘perfectly executed modern French cuisine, elegant and subtle, with deeply concentrated tastes and flawless presentation’.
