Yesterday was Dad's Birthday

Everyone came over to celebrate. Young old and new stopped by. It was the kind of party my dad would have loved. My dad loved parties and he wanted everyone to have fun. My mom's pancit was for long life and was one of his favorites, my mom also made bico a dark sweet rice dessert with coconut milk that my dad liked. My dad liked all kinds of food he loved sweets.

We used to be forced to play golf on his bday and it was always fun. Dad and his sons. My brothers were good at golf, I sucked but i didnt care playing with dad was always fun. We played Bear Creek and Nacho had a second dhot from the fairway but he duffed and was pissed and started to march to the green. BrowserMetrics had the right to the next shot he hit his hsot and pegged Nacho in the head, not in a bad way, but the shot bounced off his head....it was funny and my dad was just like, "you need to pay attention." My dad was at the same time concerned, laughing, teaching us a lesson and loving every minute of it.

I think we should have done some karaoke specifically La Bamba. My dad coulkd transform himself into Richie Valens. He would shake his ass, twirl around and which I wish I had the talent to do but he could get the whole room into it. I miss that.

Happy Birthday Pop!

What a great way to remember your dad. The day was beautiful, filled with lots of friends and family. I only hope that one day, when I'm long gone, my family and their friends and family will throw it down just like we did yesterday. Cheers!
