You can add bacon to just about anything and it makes it better. Cheeseburger to bacon cheeseburger is the easiet example. Hokie Girl showed my bacon chocolate chip cookies that h as to be good..anyway I have been trying to stay busy and came across a BBQ article. Real BBQ only comes from north Carolina, the eastern half and it is chopped pork with a vinegar sauce in sandwich form. i was just reading Alan Richman's article about BBQ from NC and it got me thinking.
The first time I had pulled pork was at my friend's house and his mom was from NC. She made this pulled pork sandwhich that knocked me out. She slightly toasted the bun with a hint of butter and piled on the pulled pork. From that point barbecue places sprung up everywhere...Red Hot and Blue Comes to mind. even going to school up north I found BBQ from guys from NC.
Anyway, the pulled pork sandwich is awesome but I was intrigued to read in his article about a place that added a crispy piece of pig skin to the sandwich. Oh damn that might make the best sandwich even better. Imagine all that pulled pork goodiness with a layer of crispy skin damn!
You know crispy skin might be the next bacon, meaning you add crispy skin to anything and it is going to make it better a la bacon. Grilled sea bass with crispy pig skin yummy, peking duck with both duck and pig skin...yes that is heaven. Anwyay I hope this innovation catches on.

If you make it....they will come. Great idea...crispy pork skin added to EVERYTHING! Can't go wrong! Except in the cholesterol level department....
