Nochevieja Traditions and Memories Past

New Years is always a strange holiday, growing up there was always parties to attend and fun foods. Now its like a big mirror where i see my successes and failures.

I had my first alcoholic drink at a family party when i was younger like 11 or so and i had one drink and was under. It was sad to see a passed out kid. In tenth grade a kid in my class had a new years eve party that resembled the party scene in 16 Candles, man this dude house was trashed. It started out harmlessly and then more and more people showed up until it was completely out of control. Some dude poured beer into the big screen tv, the sweet stereo system and i think we pinned some underclassman under a glass table. People walked away with the the stupid lawn jockey and we ate everything in the house. My second year in DC we were at Irish Times and my friend tried to open all the Carbon Dioxide canisters and this one girl sobbed the whole night that no one liked her, so we proceeded to leave her there. We also used to have this big parties at hotels which were strange. My favorite was New Years Day parties football and food what more do you need oh yeah my aunt made this cinnamon bread that crushed all other breads.

We used to have a ton of fireworks, the only benefit of going to South of the Boarder. I like fireworks, because they are so simple, bright flashes of lights and loud bangs make me happy.

Its been a rough year and to quote Weezer, Its time I got back to the good life.

I dont have a resolution but I want to have a balance in my life and thats my goal for the year.

Did you see Michael Cera's Celebrity Playlist on iTunes? Not only does he proclaim his love for Weezer, he put "The Good LIfe" on his list. It's our theme song buddy.
