I have been working my way through Jose Andres Tapas book.
I like simpler fare, a spanish tortilla, some chorizo and bread suit me just fine.
I laid out everything I needed before hand which made cooking easy. I did have some issues. I made a tortilla and i heated the oil for too long and the flip was miserable. My tortilla browned quickly but didnt burn. I over salted, once on the potatoes and again in the eggs. My flip was awkward I have to remember to double plate. I bought a chorizo and cooked it up and they sliced it up with my tortilla.
I also made a montalban cheese and apple walnut salad. The dressing was a simple olive oil, cider vinegar and a little salt. It was yummy and the cider really punched through.
Then i had some ripe tomatoes and made Catalan Tomato bread. Perfectly toasted bread, fresh ripe tomatoes a little salt. I made two pieces one plain the other with jamon and manchego.
Now, i have food for a few days.
