The Patagonia MLC was put through a rough week of work travel in Turkey.
In the bag was a gray sharkskin suit, Blue seersucker jacket, dress khakis, four dress shirts, three polos, swim trunks, five under shirts, five boxers, two dress socks, two sport socks, belt, three ties, black dress shoes, flip flops, all of my toilietres, my two gifts, a paperweight and a pair of cufflinks, a notebook, a travel guide, briefing material.
The bag was fairly lite and not terribly bulky. It was easy to swing over my shoulder and to easy to move. Carrying the MLC with my briefcase was easy and I didnt feel strained.
I left Dulles in the middle of the night to fly through Frankfort and onto Istanbul. Now going on the trip we were on the VIP side, which means my bag was put on last and off first on most flights. Everything stayed in palce and nothing broke.
As a travel bag for work, it did a decent job of not crushing my suit and jackets, a quick steam and everything was good as new.
Now, I dont think I could have brought back ny big gifts. I would have defintely had to ditch clothes. But the bag fit easily into overhead bins and worked well as an informal pillow and as a desk. It did crush my organic tea.
Overall for a week of work clothes and one day of washing this bag did a fine job. It did require me to use my briefcase to handle a day of clothes but overall the two bag system worked. Im working on switching to a one bag system but that is proving difficult.

I will be testing my MLC too. I'm so stoked on this bag.
I may have to document it also.
