Onion Ring Toppers

I was instant messaging a friend and the conversation took an interesting turn to onion ring toppings. i thought of this because I was thinking about the onion loaf and blooming onion. The blooming onion is one appetizer I think everyone can get behind. I digress, now, there are already onion ring dips, but can they be topped with additional condiments. I think you might be able to add cheese shavings and bacon bits, my friend said banana peppers, or dip the onion in a cheese dip then batter and fry. I actually like the ideas of adding fried peppers and friend lemons to onion rings. Outside the box how about lettuce leaves to wrap around the onion ring and then a sweet and sharp Asian dippy sauce. tell me what you think. If I like your idea I'm going to forward it to Fridays/Ruby Tuesday/Apple Bee's/Outback for a new appetizer.
