How Mom ruined Bob's Noodle House

I was at the farmers market with Adrienne when the call came in.

"Hey dude, your mom and my mom want to get dim-sum."

"It's like 12;00 already everything is going to close soon and we'll have to wait in line for too long."

"Yeah. that what I was thinking. How about Bob's"

"Perfect"

So, they made their way down and we meet at the greatest Taiwanese Noodle House this side of Taipei. The meal was a chorus of shredding the dishes that came out complimented by a running comparison to NYC's Chinatown. As my aunt likes to put it, "There is a place in Chinatown where only Chinese people go. Its a secret. We'll go there for noodles." They didn't like the crispy intestines. Ignored all the noodle soup goodness. The only thing they liked were the Manila clams, for pete's sake you can get those at Panda Express. However, my mom and aunt ruined one of my favorite places to eat, Bob's Noodle 66 on Rockville. She said, she never wanted to go there again. Actually, my aunt said the same thing, she said, "This is the first and last time," In fact after we ate they went to the Chinese market to get more food. I should have known better, when my mom says she wants something she wants that and nothing else do not deviate because she wont like it.

I felt like my mom told me that my child is an abortion of humanity. This food was not meant to be consumed by no man. Hee hee.

Bob's is not the best, but there are many things that are tastey that I felt like we were sharing a secret of our own. But in the end we were told to shove it. =)

Next time we deviate, we should at least deviate to something familiar, but I feel they won't really trust us next time.
