We all know I am easily swayed by not so clever marketing. Show me a candy bar next to the register and i will buy it. anyway, the McDonald's McNuggets TV ads and the prominent placement of the Nuggnuts.com website on the ads has swayed me. The McDonalds Nuggnuts website has a pledge to eat more mcnuggets and a hall of fame. Seeing that damn nuggnuts flashing on the screen was great messaging. Even Facebook has a give a friend a McNugget application. The whole new line of McNuggets marketing had me rushing off to the Golden Arches for some tasty tidbits. I got a ten piece and it was what I rememeber, chicken bits. They got rid of the 20 piece if any of you care. Maybe if they had rice and mcnuggets that would be good. I do wish they would bust out the seasonal sauces again or maybe regional sauces like a NC bbq sauce, or a Utah fry sauce, or old bay sauce.
Anyway, I was talking with Rob and he said that McNuggets are popular during times of economic downturn. I guess this is true and they are trying to make it cool.
