Blue Balls Gate

I had a blue standing ticket to the swearing of President Obama. I have never been so excited. 12 years on the Hill and this was the first time I was taking advantage of my job. I want to say I was there when we swore in the first black President. i wanted to feel that intensity and support and history. I got in line at 745am. The queue was orderly. For an hour we didnt move then finally movement. Everyone was excited, but soon. The blue line morphed into a mass of people. People just wanted in but no. I never made it. I was sad and pissed off. Instead of being on the West lawn I was in my cube how very sad.
