Mobile Eats and the New Frontiers for Food Trucks

We all love food trucks and we have all eaten at them: plate lunch, hot dogs, cheese steaks, tacos etc. They are popular and hip but they will soon be on their way out of sheikness but i still love them and wish all food came in truck form.

I wish someone would have a dim sum food truck. It wouldnt need the world wide spectrum of dumplings and pork bun goodness maybe just the classics and every once and awhile something special, chicken feet etc. I think late night or lunch time dim sum would rock. A baked pork bun, some dumplings, some fried pork maybe a side of steamed spinich. Damn that would be good! Just imagine, you walk up and a minute later a great meal box to go.

I also like a thai truck, something to make fresh noodles like drunken noodle with minced chicken and have it be so spicy that it peels paint. Not really terrible imaginative but it works.

Or maybe a mobile crab truck or the Crabbers Cab. It parks, sets up, gives you picninc tables, newspapers, and they steam a bushel of crabs in front of you and your friends and then you go to town. Maybe they can have small batch steamers to steam you up a small amount of crabs. It can come over for parties or sundays at the beach!

This can also apply to a paella truck or a lechon truck. In the lechon truck one side of the truck can be glass so you can watch it roast!!! You walk up, hack and slash and all the crispy skin and tender meat your heart desires.

On the healthy side a mobile farmers market. it pulls into yuppie territories rings a bell and they come running for locally sourced eggs and milk and vegatables. I would use them in a heart beat. the farmers market on your door step and they could go around every night before and during dinner. i wonder if you could bake bread and drive at the same time, not efficient and cost effective but a hoot none the less.

I like it. Very creative! Brings to mind my very recent trip to the Gaithersburg DMV, titled "MVA" for some special reason I'm sure. We had to transfer our licenses over and... not one, not two, THREE taco trucks right there in the parking lot! We sampled all of them :D
