Bar/Restaurant Review: 18th Amendment

On Penn and 6th SE is 18th Amendment a bar with great pizza and Weezer's Blue Album. What a great mix. I took the office for some 'za and drinks.

First let's talk about drinks, Alton Brown has taught me some bar tips and I can make a mean martini but I don't really get the martini craze, appletinis, chocolate martnis so my office mates got some martinis at 10 bucks a pop. For Christ sakes, ten bucks is at least two drinks...Anyway...Drinks... They had some martinis and of course cosmos(yes I work with just women) and the martinis were ok, too much vermouth. The cousin was sweet but boring, I had bourbon. I love bourbon...Drinks were overpriced. In the DC scale it would be "Its been referred to committee."

The pizza was outstanding. Crisp crust, salty sauce, good cheese, fresh toppings. We got three and it feed six of us. Great pizza and I encourage you to go. On the DC scale "Pre-Conference"

Go its fun and good pizza but stick with drink specials.
