Netflix Review: L"Aubegre Espagnole

Feeling directionless, feeling out of sorts, are you telling everyone that 30 is the new 21? Well I have a movie that will help you push off the weight of work and help you to realize that living is just as important as working. It will remind oyu that you may work your ass off to get the dream everyone tells you that you should chase only to realize that you were better off following your heart. i read somewhere that only 25% of professionals in their 30's feel fulfilled that's nuts.

Erasmus plays two roles in the movie- first is th ename of his study abroad program and second which is described inthis paragraph. Erasmus is probably best known for his work "The Praise of Folly," a satirical look at Catholciism, but he also wrote "The Education of a Chrisitian Prince." This was the exact opposite of the later published book, "The Prince" from Machiavelli. Ereasmus said a prince must be educated, loved and worldly to be a good leader. That is Xavier the main character in this movie as we witness his growth to becoming a leader.

L"aubegre Espagnole starts off with our hero Xavier following the dream set forth by his dad, EU economics and the emerging Spanish markets. Study economics and master spanish, off Xavier goes leaving behind the most adorable girlfriend, in Audrey Tautou. He meets up with a motley crew in Barcalona a nice mix of Euros. His new housemates start to show him that there is more to life then a parents dream. Xavier falls for a repressed french housewife, has a crush on his lesbian Wallon roommate and begins to understand what he wants from life. The story is dotted with funny roommate situations a la Three's Company and strong character development. The dialogue is fresh and the movie has a great pace.
