Bread and Butter
Les Halles is a great fench bistro. The bread has never really been outstanding, dont et me wrong it is good, but nothing memorable. In fact most places bread tends to be bland. A few weeks ago I was at Les Halles with some old friends. It was a late dinner and we are all starving. Our waiter apologized that no bread was ready. he came back with fresh out of the oven bagguettes. Damn, mana from heaven, jack pot, hearing someone scream "Outside!" I mean fresh out of the oven bagguettes are magic. Warm, crusty outside, chewy inside, slathered with butter. I can eat bread and butter all day. Not being of euopean descent why do i have the affintiy for bread and butter?
