State of The Union

Waiting inthe Speaker of the House's Office for the State of the Union was interesting. Michael J Fox, Governor O'Malley, LA Mayor Antonio Villariga, a ton of of our soldiers, DC Mayor Fenty, Dem Leadership...the spread was breadsticks and a soft creme herbed cheese with fried onions, fries(???I know weird but damned good), crepes with chix and mushroom, shrimp in pesto, sauteed veggies, assorted chocolates and what is my opinion was some of the fienst coffee in DC. The speaker should open a coffee shop called the Speaker's Lobby.

Watching all these high brow people greeting each other, smiling hugging made me stop and think about how great it is too be in the majority. Its awesome.

Rubbing elbows with the big wigs, eh? Sounds cool. Is it enough to keep you there? Just wondering.

I like the Hill for so many reasons mainly it is trying to do some good but sometimes these events remind me of what it can be like.
