Sometimes the romanticism of owning one's own business and being this savy restaurantuer takes me over. i guess it is too much Top Chef, and Nightmare Kitchens...i believe I can do it better even though I know zippy about running a food establishment. the only thing I know about food is how to eat it, how to eat it well, or en masse. No real foundation for starting a cafe there.... I hope the Seed opens a taco stand in Cali and sells eco friendly slipper because that is what I would be good at. I think it will be all do whatever but owning a business is hard fuckig work and you cant call in sick or you have no cash.
The only reason i say this crap is because today was a bad day. Drove the boss around all night and ran about four red lights to make it back for votes. im in the office at 1000PM waiting for votes to end and to make sure he is good to go. But what is really bothering me is that there is no sense of team and people it seems like they have given up and that bums me out. You figure on some level you want to engage and do your job well, but their are people content with just doing nothing and collecting a check. We all have bad days but to stop caring and to distance oneself in a small office is selfish. I know i signed up for this and the good often outweighs the bad but the politics of this or any office just sucks.

i haven't been there, but it looks promising. although really the best taco places are dirty holes-in-the-wall. oh well.
if ur ever in LA definitely get a carnitas sope at King Taco (several in the area). or u can be adventurous and get calf brain or tongue. YUM.
