Dim Sum Do We Eat it Wrong?

This Sunday I had Dim Sum with some family and friends. i like food and love Dim Sum because you can have little bits of everything. We had baked pork buns, shui mai, fried pork, chow fun, singapore noodles, crispy taro nests, 5 kinds of dumplings, raddish cakes, shrimp warpped in bacon, fruit tarts, pineapple buns, sesame balls...did I miss anything. Hmmm, all the dishes were great and yummy but i think the everything is the problem.

Are we eating Dim Sum the wrong way?

Is Dim Sum supposed to be like tapas where its a plate maybe two some beer and you are off on your merry way. Maybe the Spanish ripped tapas/dim sum off of the Chinese. Are we supposed to have endless plates of Cha shao bao, tins of dumplings, bowls of noodles and platters of fruit tarts?

When you are with a group of friends Dim Sum is the only way to go, you eat and have fun and the food doesnt stop. I love dim sum and will keep eating until someone tells me otherwise. Past the Cha shao bao.
