Bodysurfing in Turkey

Our one culture day of the trip, we spent visiting the ruins of Patara and we went to see loggerhead turtles. Turtle beach as I will refer to it was a beautiful white sand beach. The white sandy beach also could refer to the white hot temperature of the sand. Blazing. On the beach were hundreds of toursits from around the world, a beach shack that served food and ice cream and a protected area for the turtles.

Turtle beach has a nice shore break with rideable waves. Now, it is a brief ride, but you can catch a wave, cut across the face and get drilled into the sand. While this might not appeal to some for me it is a great way to spend the afternoon. I caught about five waves and it made me very happy.
