How do you make grocery shopping easier...I got overwhelmed in grocery stores especially in stores like Wegmans way too many choices. So I have an idea for a new system that would be tied into your value card from Ralph's, Wegmans, or Whole Foods and it would be linked to a store owned handheld system to help you with shopping.
The handheld would show you the layout of store. They layout would have layered on top of it, the items you usually buy and all sales items.
You would be able to down load your recipes and it would help find your ingredients.
The system could also offer suggestions for dinners based on cuisine, nutrition and number of people and cost associated. It would then plot out where your food is located. It could also help you with wine pairings.
If you are dieting it could help by pointing you towards food that are healthier. If you are pregnant it could help with what foods are good for your baby. It could help avoid food allergies.
You could pre-load coupons from newspaper or direct from manufacturer. This would only allow single use of coupon and avoid fake on-line coupons.
If you based your purchases on a recipe the system would send you instructions in text and video format to help you cook.

what a GREAT idea - but would the technology trickle down to the small grocery stores (my local Shoppers) or would i have to go to Wegmans or Whole Foods or similar "fancy" store?
Have you been to Bloom? It's a new kind of supermarket!
